Five years ago, ResisTIME was born as a symbol of resilience, at a time when La Palma needed to rise again more than ever. It began as a courageous response after the 2011 volcanic eruption, with the goal of revitalizing the island's social, cultural, and economic life. On July 10, 2026, for its 5th edition, the festival returns to El Paso, firmly established as the major musical event of the summer, this time focusing on Latin rhythms that captivate audiences of all ages, featuring Ke Personajes, Bacilos, Ráfaga, Nacho (Chino & Nacho), Yami Safdie, and Nueva Línea.
Five years since the beginning of the ResisTIME era
That first edition of ResisTIME in 2022 was much more than a festival; it was a symbol of a commitment that La Palma needed and that, since then, has only grown.
El Paso hosted concerts, gatherings, and activities that brought together thousands of people around music. On stage, names like Duki, Cruz Cafuné, Hombres G, and Dvicio resonated, marking the beginning of a now-established project. That same year, over 4,000 attendees confirmed the project's success.
The following year, in 2023, the number nearly doubled, reaching 7,500 spectators. This solidified the festival's status as an essential event in La Palma's summer calendar.
Year after year, ResisTIME has evolved without losing its essence. It has become an increasingly ambitious event, bringing international and iconic artists like María Becerra, Arcángel, Manuel Turizo, and Camilo to La Palma's stage, expanding its format to become a festival attracting thousands of attendees. In its latest phase, it has drawn nearly 15,000 people, establishing itself as one of the Canary Islands' major music events.
But if anything has defined ResisTIME over these five editions, it's been its community, the loyal audience that has supported the festival since its inception, demonstrating that this project is, beyond music, about identity, belonging, and the future.
Five years later, ResisTIME isn't just celebrating its anniversary; it's celebrating having fulfilled its purpose: overcoming adversity, considering the social needs and leisure activities of the people of La Palma, and placing the island at the forefront of the Canary Islands' music scene.
ResisTIME celebrates its anniversary with its most Latin-infused edition yet.
To commemorate this very special edition, the festival announces a lineup that prioritizes the coexistence of the past and the future with equal intensity, paying homage to everything the festival has been, is, and will be. Ke Personajes, Nacho (Chino & Nacho), Bacilos, Ráfaga, Yami Safdie, and Nueva Línea will headline an anniversary that promises to be unforgettable.
